An introduction to some of the key team members that make up Nemco Utilities…

Claire Donaldson
Quality Manager
Claire joined Nemco in September 2009 as an executive personal assistant. On top of the valuable support and auditing duties, Claire has responsibility for HR in terms of administering the recruitment and training processes and managing leave. Claire is also the company QHSE Manager and has implemented and maintained accreditations for ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001. The wider team benefits on a daily basis from Claire’s IT skills and she is always there to lend a hand with a spreadsheet!
What Claire enjoys most about working for Nemco is the variety and flexibility of the role. Claire says ‘No two days are the same and I am constantly being challenged’.
Outside of work, Claire is a keen hobbyist who enjoys learning new crafts such as Cross-Stitch, Jewellery Making, Card Making and Cake Decorating. Claire and her husband both enjoy motorsport and travel around the country to watch the BTCC as well as attending the occasional event abroad. Claire has been a member of the Guide Association for over 10 years running Guide and Senior Section units as well as acting as District Treasurer.

Debbie Green
Operations Director
Debbie has spent the past 15 years in Director roles within Nemco and previously worked for one of the major water undertakers in Microbiology, Field Science and Legionella. Within the company her duties involve the development and implementation of strategy, resourcing, and maintenance of operational excellence.
In a technical capacity, Debbie specialises in Corporate Governance Audits / Consultancy and assisting clients with policy production, and she is a regular keynote speaker for groups such as IOSH. As a qualified risk assessor, Debbie continues to make time for regular site work including the inspection and assessment of cooling towers and other high risk systems.
What Debbie enjoys most about her job is the satisfaction of seeing people thrive in a challenging environment. It is also really interesting to work with such a diverse client base which includes factories, power stations, football clubs, stately homes, airports, breweries and housing associations – to name just a few!
Outside of work Debbie, enjoys running, clay pigeon shooting and walking the dog as well as getting time in the mountains as often as possible. Debbie is also a Trustee Director of The Thorpe Woodlands Adventure Centre and dedicates much of her time to the development of young people through outdoor education.

John Palmer
Technical Support Supervisor
John started with Nemco in October 2008 as a Technical Report Writer and has just celebrated five years’ service. During his time with the company, John has used his skill and attention to detail in a number of roles and secondments including: planning scheduling and logistics, and responsibilities for audits designed to capture any compliance inspections that may be in jeopardy of exceeding their due date.
John has recently been promoted to Technical Support Supervisor helping to oversee report writing within the company and supporting the office managers in their role.
What John enjoys most about his job is that no two days are the same and there are opportunities to develop and enhance people who are within the technical support department.
In his spare time, John likes to play golf and enjoys a little flutter on the horses with occasional visits to Newmarket; in fact he appreciates most sports including football, cricket etc. John also likes to dabble in culinary chores at home and can cook a mean roast dinner!

Tony Green
Finance and Technical Director
Tony jointly founded Nemco in 1999 having previously worked for one of the major water undertakers. He held a variety of roles including Chemistry Lab Technician, Trade Effluent Inspector, Emergency Planning Assistant and Key Account Manager. Within Nemco his duties involve strategic planning, financial governance and technical development. Away from the office, Tony leads the Specialist Access Team where he supervises jobs that involve work at height or in confined spaces.
What Tony enjoys most about his job is the balance between the office and field environments, and he can think of no better day than one where he is dangling from a piece of rope 40 meters above the ground!
Outside of work, Tony enjoys going to the gym, shooting, walking the dog and occasionally even stunt horse riding, as well as getting time in the mountains as often as possible. Tony also volunteers as an instructor for the local air cadets and dedicates as much time as possible to the development of young people through outdoor education.

Tony Cronin
Field Technician
Tony joined the company in November 2013 as a field engineer. He currently covers a variety of aspects of legionella control including monitoring and sampling.
Tony says that what he enjoys most about the jobs are the people that he meets.
Outside of work Tony enjoys swimming and camping.
